FUNVISIS records earthquake movement in Delta Amacuro

An earthquake of magnitude 4.4 shook the eastern region of Venezuela this Thursday, September 03, according to the official report of the Venezuelan Foundation for Seismological Research (FUNVISIS).

The epicenter was located 32 kilometers north of Pedernales (Delta Amacuro) and 46 kilometers south of Güiria (Sucre), at a depth of 15.3 kilometers.

So far, no material damage or casualties have been reported. Civil Protection Agencies are keeping an alert and monitoring the areas near the epicenter
