Godfather Minister: Chávez refounded the Homeland and rescued military decorum

The Supreme Commander, Hugo Chávez Frías, supported by his admirable leadership, reborn the Homeland and rescued military decorum, said Defense Minister G/J Vladimir Padrino López.

In a statement, on the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the birth of the giant Chávez, the senior military officer stressed that he promoted the indissoluble civic-military fusion and refounded the FANB with a new ethic and concept for the Integral Defense of the Nation.

Today marks the 70th anniversary of the birth of the undefeated soldier Hugo Chávez. The man who revived the fighting spirit of those tainted by poverty, misery and neoliberal exploitation; the Cadet who resumed from the House of Blue Dreams, the standard of Bolivarian, Robinsonian and Zamoran thought, to mark the promising path of an indigenous political, economic, social and cultural project, which transcended other latitudes and inspired oppressed peoples who are still resisting imperial hegemony and tutoring. The rebel in the red beret who, on February 4, 1992, moved in his fiber by indignation, full of courage, launched a rebellion against the national and foreign leaders that embezzled Venezuela.

Assisted then by his class consciousness, ideological clarity, fiery verb and untamed irreverence, Maisanta's great-grandson, committed to just causes, led a process of national, democratic and popular liberation, unprecedented in the country's history. It cultivated in the collective soul of an entire continent, the broadest sense of humanism, solidarity, social justice, equality, the common good, dignity and peace. Also, being a true revolutionary soldier, he understood the imperative need to become a people, promoting an indissoluble civic-military fusion, the fundamental basis of the Bolivarian Doctrine. Chávez united and refounded the Bolivarian National Armed Forces with a new ethic and concept for the Integral Defense of the Nation. With his admirable leadership, the Homeland was reborn and military decorum was rescued.

For this reason, when we celebrate his advent, we not only exalt his figure as Supreme Commander of an armed institution that at the present time has strengthened its Bolivarian, popular, anti-oligarchic, anti-colonialist and anti-imperialist character; we also recognize his visionary idea, keeping us standing, with unscathed honor and in firm resistance to the enemies of the Fatherland. Every day, let us honor the imperishable legacy of this giant, reaffirming our irreducible commitment to the Constitution, the institutions of the State, the will of the sovereign and the preservation of the peace of the Republic. Thank you, Commander Chávez! For living eternally in the memory and heart of a people.
