Government of Lara begins security operation and vehicle restrictions due to the procession of the Divine Shepherdess

The Government of Lara State, working together with the security forces at the national, regional and local levels, began a special operation for citizen security and peace in the parish of Santa Rosa, the enclosure of the Virgin the Divine Shepherdess, ahead of the procession of the coming January 14th.
Commander Orlando Gómez, director general of the local police, stated that the deployment takes place continuously before, during and after the procession to provide security for property and people who visit the place. He added that access to the town is authorized on foot and, for this reason, vehicle passage is preventively prohibited.
In the same vein, he stressed that police officers will be dedicated to carrying out preventive closures at points that give access by vehicle to the town of Santa Rosa.The tour that has been taken in the state of Lara every January 14th since 1856 is one of the largest Marian processions in the world.
