Governor Arnaldo Sánchez called on the people of Mérida to participate massively in the Popular Consultation

The governor of the state of Mérida, Arnaldo Sánchez, invited the entire population of the entity to participate massively in the National Popular Consultation 2026, which is held this Sunday, March 8, on International Women's Day.

“Here in Mérida, our people have come out, our youth, our women, our adults and older adults, our peasants, our workers, to be able to fulfill this right given to us by President Nicolás Maduro Moros, who created this consultation of Popular Power to empower our people,” he said from one of the voting centers.

He stressed that this democratic process is dedicated to President Nicolás Maduro Moros, to the first female combatant Cilia Flores de Maduro, and to Commander Hugo Chávez, “our Supreme Commander in this week of his planting.”

Sánchez explained that 458 centers are active in the state, 500 tables from a very early age “and we are going to be there all the way to guarantee the effectiveness and efficiency given to us by the Popular Power, which the Revolution gives us.”
