The governor of the state of Miranda, Elio Serrano, stated, during a Meeting with the Productive and Economic Sector of Cocoa, that it is necessary to implement actions that allow producers to increase productivity without affecting the quality that characterizes the entity's cocoa.
Serrano highlighted that the Agricultural Development Corporation is working on a comprehensive backup plan to address critical issues in the production chain.
He also stressed the importance of taking advantage of by-products such as cocoa, whose economic potential was highlighted by exhibitors during the recent approval of the Cocoa Law. “That additional income can strengthen the producer's economy and stimulate better practices,” he said.
The governor reiterated that the objective is to increase productivity without compromising the quality that distinguishes Venezuelan cacao.
