The governor of the state of Zulia, Luis Caldera, highlighted this Sunday the massive participation of the entity's communities in the National Popular Consultation 2026, which is celebrated on March 8, International Women's Day.

He reported that the state has 949 voting centers, 1148 tables in the 21 municipalities, to select 3969 projects, “which come from a specific agenda of action, which come from nomination meetings, which come from the solutions map and from the execution of more than 2147 works, which is the greatest motivation.”
“The people exercising governance in the territory are more efficient. The People are looking for their own solutions and that is why we have this weekly delivery of works, schools, health centers, productive projects. There is a high turnout at all voting centers in the state of Zulia. The people are doing their democratic exercise,” he said.
Caldera indicated that the process is very fast, the voter presents their identity card to each of the tables “and selects from the seven proposed projects which one guarantees the greatest efficiency in solving each of the problems,” he explained.
