Governor of Aragua on Popular Consultation: Our people are leaving en masse!

The governor of the state of Aragua, Joana Sánchez, highlighted the democratic commitment of the people of the entity, demonstrated by their massive participation in the first National Popular Consultation 2026, which is being held this Sunday.

“Women, the Fatherland wins again and the Fatherland is us, the Fatherland is men and women (...) Today, referring to International Women's Day, the struggle and commitment that we all have is with our Popular Consultation,” she said after participating in the day.

He reported that the state of Aragua has 378 voting centers, 420 polling stations and 1,319 projects in 191 communes. “Our people are leaving en masse,” he emphasized.

Sánchez said that this consultation does not subscribe to a political color, “but to the community's request in relation to the resolution of their conflicts, their most heartfelt problems.”
