This Monday, during the meeting of the National Directorate of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), led by the Secretary General, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, the governor of the state of Trujillo, Gerardo Márquez, highlighted the value of the entity and the contribution to the country's economic development. He also invited a series of activities.

Trujillo is an eminently agricultural state, although we have non-metallic mining, we also have a certified 850-year-old limestone mine exactly where the Andean cement plant is located,” said Márquez.

He also highlighted that Trujillo is an oil state, since 82,000 extra light barrels are produced that go directly to the Paraguaná Refining Center (CRP) in Falcón state.

In agricultural matters, the governor stressed that the entity is the first strawberry producer in the country with 86% of what is consumed; as well as pineapple, milky and criollo bananas.

“We are the third coffee producer, but the best coffee in the country. After Lara and Portuguesa, we are the second producer of raw vegetables in the country, but the sixth fruit producer in the country,” said the regional president.

Márquez invited to the festivities that will take place, ranging from the visit to the monument to the Virgin of Peace, then to the sanctuary of San Gregorio Hernández in Isnotú “and then to the most voted Commune, from there we are going on a march of approximately one kilometer with the leadership and with the people of Trujillo,” he stressed.
