The Expo ZEE La Guaira 2025 presents the active and most attractive projects being developed to boost the economy in the region, by attracting investment.
During the opening of the event, the governor of the entity, José Alejandro Terán, and the sole authority of the Special Economic Zone (ZEE), Marcos Meléndez, presented the plans being implemented to promote economic growth in the state.
In addition, the general ideas of the Master Plan for the Special Economic Zone of La Guaira, instructed by the President of the Republic, Nicolás Maduro, for the development of La Guaira of the Future, were presented.
It is an instrument that proposes the development of the region by axes, which take into account its peculiarities and geographical vocations to attract investment, diversify national production and generate exports of non-oil resources.
In this regard, the sole authority of the Special Economic Zone, Marcos Meléndez, proposed developing the Carayaca-Junko axis as a Communal City. This policy enhances agricultural biocapacities through sustainable growth.
In addition, Meléndez plans an industrial axis in the state center and a tourist area to the east. These strategic areas will diversify the economy through specialized services and trade.
He stressed that they are carrying out infrastructure works and strategic structural projects. These constructive bases guarantee technical viability to attract and consolidate significant international capital investments.
In this regard, he urged all Guaireños and Guaireñas not to miss this exhibition, where seven companies allied to the ZEE of La Guaira show their progress and provide interesting information about their projects.
For his part, Governor Terán thanked businessmen for their trust in this initiative. “Here we have a demonstration from Venezuela of what is possible. From the Venezuela of hope, the one we love, the one that unites us, from the Venezuela that needs all of us,” he said.
Terán emphasized that this is possible thanks to a great collective effort of the national, regional, municipal, communal and private enterprise governments.
“This Economic Zone already belongs to the economic sectors, to the Guiareños and Guaireñas, to businessmen, to all good men and women. It has ceased to be an idea only of President Nicolás Maduro or just of a team to become a collective dream,” he said.
