This Thursday, March 12, artists, cultivators and creators held a meeting for peace at the House of Freedom and Culture, Ali Primera, the national headquarters of the Great Mission Viva Venezuela, my Beloved Homeland.

The activity was accompanied by the Minister of Popular Power for Culture, Ernesto Villegas, and the deputy to the National Assembly, Nicolás Maduro Guerra.

“This meeting was necessary. We are shaken by what happened on January 3rd, it is an indelible stain on our history. Here is an important part of this country's sensitive vanguard. To be an artist, a cultivator, a creator, you have to have a very special sensitivity,” said Minister Villegas.

He also pointed out that this sensitivity typical of creators allows us to perceive “that sensitivity makes you feel the positive, the affirmative, the creative, in an exceptional way. But it also makes you perceive more intensely the painful, the sad. That's why these men and women are extremely shocked by what happened in our country on January 3,” he said.

He also highlighted the conscious and loving spirit of the Venezuelan people. “We are feeling and thinking. There is a shaken people who have been able to protect peace, have been able to take care of the most precious thing, which is life,” he said.

Villegas also conveyed solidarity greetings to the President of the Republic Nicolás Maduro, his wife Cilia Flores, and their family, while highlighting the commitment of the cultural sector to the defense of joy, creation and Venezuelan identity.

“May our pain and sadness never erase joy, smile, creation, music, poetry, painting, sculpture, wristwear from our faces. And we all say with great pride: Long live Venezuela, My Beloved Homeland!” , he highlighted.

For his part, the deputy Maduro Guerra expressed the deep emotion generated by sharing with the country's cultural sector, and emphasized the importance of unity at this time that the country is going through.

At the same time, the parliamentarian invited that the Great Mission Viva Venezuela promote an editorial project that collects messages of solidarity received from different parts of the world, as well as a compilation of the musical work of the Cantor del Pueblo, Ali Primera.
