With three theatrical pieces, the artistic representation of the Guárico state joins the celebration of the Venezuelan Theater Festival 2025, which promises to become, from August 28 to 31, a fundamental platform for performing art in the region.
The event began with a day of reflection and theatrical cartography at the Rómulo Gallegos Public Library in San Juan de los Morros, bringing together local creators, directors and actors, who shared experiences and visions to chart the future of theater in the state.
This edition pays homage to Gustavo Oval, a prominent figure in the culture of Guárico and other states of the country, known for his work as a puppeteer, theater director, playwright and cultural manager. The curtain rises on August 29 at 5:00 in the afternoon at the Simon Bolivar Theater, with the play “Almanacs Under the Bridge” by the group The Oxidated Daga.
On the weekend, the performances will continue at the Don Justo Villalobos Pocket Theater. On Saturday 30th at 3:00 in the afternoon, María Marín, divorced from the group Teatro Estable — Guárico, will perform; and on Sunday the 31st, at the same time, the festival will close with the play A Long Wait by the Germán Rosas Salinas School, according to the regional press.
