Gustavo González López is appointed as the new Minister for Defense of Venezuela

The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, appointed G/J Gustavo González López as the new Minister of People's Power for Defense this Wednesday.

Through her Telegram channel, the president in charge thanked the outgoing minister, G/J Vladimir Padrino López, “for his dedication, his loyalty to the Fatherland.”

He stressed that Padrino López was, “during all these years, the first soldier in the defense of our country”, and expressed his confidence that the military leader “will assume with the same commitment and honor the new responsibilities that will be entrusted to him.”
