Gymnast Jimena Domínguez became champion of the South American Junior and Age Group in Brazil

Venezuelan gymnast Jimena Domínguez became champion of the Junior General Singles at the South American Rhythmic Gymnastics Championship, which took place in Aracaju, Brazil.
Domínguez won the categories for hoop equipment with 29,350, junior ball with 28,600, as well as clubs with 28,700 counts, which kept her at the top of the All Round with 109,500, according to the Ministry of Sports Press.
She also won a silver medal in the ribbon device with 24,900, being surpassed by the host of the contest. In addition, another silver medal was credited in the individual junior category and bronze in the highest accumulator.
Venezuela ranked second in the medal table with a total of 35 medals, divided into 6 gold, 17 silver and 12 bronze.
