The constitutional president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, and the First Lady Cilia Flores sent this Sunday of the Most Holy Trinity “an embrace of faith, love and hope” to the Venezuelan people.
“This is a day of light to renew our faith in the destiny of the Homeland and of humanity. Today's efforts, made with love, unity and perseverance, are the guarantee of the future of peace, prosperity and true freedom that our peoples deserve,” he said on his social networks.
The president recalled a passage from The Bible, from the Gospel of Matthew (Mt 28,18-19): "Jesus approached them and spoke to them like this: 'All power in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go, then, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit”.
He stressed that “this word calls us to be disciples of a great cause: to transform life with values, with faith, with service, with truth and with love, so that humanity may be human, as Ali Primera sang”.
In this regard, the Head of State and his wife, illegally detained in the United States (USA), raised a prayer “with unwavering faith in the victory of truth and life. May the Holy Trinity bless Venezuela and the peoples of the world.”
