Head of State announced agreement with Japanese company for prosthesis with bionic technology

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, announced this Tuesday the next signing of an agreement with the Japanese company Kawatek for the production of prostheses with bionic technology in the country.

During the delivery of the “Professor Lenín Molina Peñaloza” Orthotics and Prosthesis Laboratory, in Caracas, the president explained that the alliance will allow for bionic technology in the recovery of limbs, in a first phase of upper limbs and then of lower limbs.

“We are already treating the victims of the double earthquake, also victims of January 3, in the recovery of their upper limbs with bionic technology and the reopening of this laboratory, the reactivation, will allow us to continue supporting the Venezuelan people who need orthoses, who need prostheses,” he said.

He stressed that, through the 1x10 of Good Governance, a census of cases was carried out “and they will be dealt with very quickly in the coming months thanks to the activation of these laboratories and we have in mind alliances with this company Kawatek from Japan that allow this transfer of technology and knowledge”.
