Diosdado Cabello Rondón asserted that the extremist political sector could not govern the country with the current National Constitution.

“They (opponents) can never govern with this Constitution,” said the general secretary of the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV).

In that regard, he argued that progress must continue progressively along the path of Commander Hugo Chávez and the Bolivarian Revolution. “There is no other option, the history since 98, 28 years ago, Chavism exists because it has a project embodied in this Constitution.”

In his Con El Mazo Dando program, broadcast number 582, he stressed that “we respect this Constitution called to be created by Commander Chávez, but it was made by the People in a Constituent Assembly, it was approved by our People.”
