President Delcy Rodríguez calls for training more doctors to care for the people's health

The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, this Tuesday urged the country's medical schools to meet all the requests of recent high school graduates who want to train as doctors.
“We have already guaranteed places for high school graduates who graduated last year in the period 2025-2026. Many students have applied to study medicine and I call on the cooperation of the country's medical schools to deal with all cases,” said the president during the delivery of the “Professor Lenín Molina Peñaloza” Orthotics and Prosthesis Laboratory in Caracas.
He recalled that, recently, a cooperation agreement in the field of education was signed with the Government of Suriname, “which contemplates that students from Suriname and other parts of the Caribbean come to the Latin American School of Medicine, to the ELAM, and that the more doctors we train, the more doctors to access the health of the Venezuelan people and the peoples of the Caribbean as well.”
The Head of State pointed out that in this regard Commander Hugo Chávez conceived the Latin American School of Medicine.
