Hospital J.M. de los Ríos achieves more than 50% recovery after earthquakes

The J.M. de los Ríos Children's Hospital, located in Caracas, achieves more than 50% recovery in its priority areas after the earthquakes of June 24, as reported by the Sectorial Vice Presidency for Public Works and Services.

After the event, continuous work was activated for 24 hours with teams from the Ministries of Public Works and Water Care, the National Electric Corporation, the Mayor's Office of Caracas, so that the areas of greatest vulnerability and patient flow, including the operating room, were immediately treated.

To date, the ground floor of the hospital center is fully operational, where triage, outpatient clinics, nursing, intensive care and pediatric emergency are available, as well as the Dialysis Room, hospitalization areas, corridors and wall rehabilitation.

The specialized teams continue with the correction of cracks and comprehensive recovery from traumatology, consultation tower, infectology and psychiatry, as well as with technical work for the repair of elevators No. 1, No. 2 and No. 9 that will allow the total operation of the nine available ones to be completed.

The hospital maintains capacity for 178 hospitalized patients and records a daily flow of care of up to 500 people undergoing triage, consolidating itself as a national reference for public children's health.
