Criollos Ibsen Aguilar, Cristian Sarco and José Díaz won gold medals at the Santa Fe 2026 South American Games, at the gymnasium of Parque Independencia, in Rosario, where Wilfredo Rodríguez won bronze.

Aguilar fought the match for the precious 74 kg gold metal after beating Chile's Jorge Gatica 11-4 for technical superiority.

In the same way, Sarco dominated the final 97 kg fight against Colombian Carlos Izquierdo with a score of 10-0.

Finally, Díaz repeated the formula, taking advantage of technical supremacy to be crowned 10-0 over Brazil's Gabriel de Sousa in the 125 kilograms.

A bronze metal was added to the tricolor harvest through Rodríguez, who won 14-4 in the fight for third place against Panamanian Wilfredo López.

After the brilliant first day, the national Olympic fight topped the standings with three golds and one silver, followed by Brazil with three metals (1-2-0) and Argentina with 3 units (1-0-2).
