INAMEH watches over tropical wave number 29 that will arrive in Venezuela in the next few hours

The 29th Tropical Wave will enter Venezuelan territory in the next few hours of this Wednesday, July 22, through the state of Guayana Esequiba, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (INAHEM) reported.

The INAMEH issued this Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at 17:00 HLV, the tropical wave monitoring report, reporting the presence of three active systems in the Atlantic and Caribbean basins.

According to the official body, a total of 30 tropical waves have formed to date, of which 26 have already entered the national territory. The last of these originated on July 20.

As for the state and trajectory of the active waves, it is as follows:

Tropical Wave No. 28: It currently travels over Central America (about 92°W, south of 18°N) at a speed of 20 km/h.

Tropical Wave No. 29: Located in the northeast of French Guiana (about 52°W, south of 16°N), it is moving slowly at 5 km/h. It is estimated to enter Essequiba Guiana in the next few hours.

Tropical Wave No. 30: It travels over the Central Tropical Atlantic Ocean (about 40°W, south of 23°N) at 10 km/h. According to weather projections, it is estimated to arrive in the country between Sunday 26th and Monday, July 27th.
