The National Institute for Aquatic Spaces (INEA) reported the intensive deployment of maritime patrolling across the country during the Easter holidays and until April 6.
With the objective of ensuring the safety of citizens during the increase in the flow of seasonal workers, the Port Authorities remain on permanent alert and range from the waters of the east and west to the Llanera and Guiana regions.
In addition, units of the Maritime Police are currently traveling the busiest routes under strategic supervisory planning, in a deployment that seeks to ensure order and protection for tourists who choose waterways for recreation during Major Week.
During inspection operations, officials rigorously verify that each vessel complies with the safety measures established in the Act. In addition, specialized INEA personnel are deployed at critical points of departure and arrival, to guide crew members and users for every mile navigated, exercising a preventive function that covers both coastal areas and national rivers.
