A total of 25 motorcyclists received their official accreditations after successfully completing the second cohort of the Preventive Training and Management Plan for Youth, issued by the National Institute of Land Transportation (INTT).

Certification is positioned as the central axis of this social program that seeks to professionalize motorcycle driving, reduce road accident rates and increase respect for traffic laws.

The group of graduates was divided into 14 certificates in Defensive Driving and 11 in Road Education, according to Prensa INTT.

The formal ceremony of awarding certificates was led by the Deputy Minister of Youth, Jesús Tarazona, and the president of the INTT, Luis Granko, in a massive activity carried out at the facilities of La Fuga park, in the Felipe Acosta commune.

To obtain certification, participants had to pass training divided into two fundamental stages: Theoretical phase: Detailed classes on the legal bases and instruments of the Land Transportation Act and the Practical Phase: Development of street skills. To validate the approval of the course, the young people performed a live demonstration crossing a technical circuit designed by INTT instructors, where they tested the control and balance skills acquired.

During the closing of the issuance of certificates, Granko urged drivers to remain cautious. “When you start the motorcycle, take care of your life, and don't turn it off in the corner; your family is waiting for you at home,” he exclaimed.

After the success of this new certification, the authorities present announced that the training plan will be extended to the entire national territory progressively. In the same way, it was confirmed that service providers of order and delivery applications will be the next to compulsorily join these study cycles.

As a complement to the certification event, the attendees had a full day of procedures where they managed licenses for the first time, renovations and vehicle registration.

The operation included a mobile unit of the Administrative Service for Identification, Migration and Aliens (SAIME) for the issuance of cards and the College of Physicians for the immediate delivery of medical driving certificates.
