The Foreign Minister of Iran, Hosein Amir Abdolahian, issued a statement on behalf of his nation, through the social network X, in which he urged the International Court of Justice (ICJ) to present an immediate decision to the arguments presented by South Africa to stop the genocide in Gaza by Israel.

“The indignation and abominable repercussions of the animal behavior of (Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin) Netanyahu and the Zionist terrorist army in committing genocide and war crimes against the Palestinians cannot be whitewashed before world public opinion under any title or logic,” he said.

In this regard, the head of Iranian diplomacy reminded the ICJ that “now, everyone is waiting for the immediate and firm decision of international justice to stop the Zionists' killing machine.”

In addition, the Persian diplomat highlighted South Africa's initiative, calling it a “responsible, courageous and honorable action” for wanting to do justice for the Palestinian people and called for the support of the international community to hold the perpetrators of the crimes in Gaza to be held to account, according to a press release from Hispantv.
