The Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF) announced Jhonny Ferreira as the national
coach of the under-15 on an interim basis.
“Ferreira will assume the provisional management of
the Vinotinto U15 for the Conmebol U15 Evolution League that will be played
in Paraguay,” the entity said in a statement published on its social networks.
Ferreira will replace Argentinian Marcelo Lamas,
who resigned after the end of the cycle of his compatriot Fernando Batista in Vinotinto de Mayores.
The new under-15 coach led
Vinotinto under-16 in a preparatory tournament in Germany.
Jhonny Ferreira made his debut as technical director in 2013 when he managed the Carabobo Football Club , although he previously worked as a technical assistant at the Caracas Football Club. In 2016, Ferreira was also in charge of the Monagas Sport Club where he won the FUTVE League title in 2017, then in 2019 his team became runner-up in the Venezuela Cup. He also worked as a technical assistant in the Vinotinto U-17 in 2009 and in July 2025.
