This Wednesday, in the auditorium of the National Experimental University of the Western Plains Ezequiel Zamora (UNELLEZ), the signing of the Agreement on Coexistence and Peace took place, within the framework of a day that brought together representatives from ten sectors of Cojedes

The event was chaired by the sectoral vice-president of Politics, Public Security and Peace, Diosdado Cabello Rondón.

The participating sectors presented the repercussions that unilateral coercive measures generate on daily life and on the development of the territory. Among the issues raised, the limitations in accessing electrical energy and fuels necessary for agricultural activity, the restrictions on obtaining chemical and technological inputs, and the denial of international permits that have prevented the participation of Venezuelan athletes in high-performance competitions were mentioned.

Throughout the day, it was emphasized that these situations have a direct impact on the functioning of the local economy, on mobility, on production and on the development capacities of the state of Cojedes and the country. Each sector presented its testimony as part of the process of drafting the agreement that will be presented in Caracas during the national pilgrimage organized by the interim president Delcy Rodríguez Gómez.

The signed document reflects the common position of the sectors present. In one of his passages, he points out:

“Each of the above considerations expressed by the different sectors of Venezuelan society, we declare that we join this great day of national pilgrimage, which the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez Gómez has called for a Venezuela free of sanctions, total lifting of the blockade and for peace. In San Carlos, on the 22nd day of April 2026.”

The agreement will be incorporated into the national conclusions of the pilgrimage for peace and against sanctions, as part of the organizational actions that are being carried out throughout the country.
