The rider Leangel Linarez won the gold medal in the omniu m and won the first title for national cycling in the South American Games.
Linarez provided a physical exhibition and strategy to overcome the continental elite with a total of 158 points.
“It was a very tough competition, with very strong rivals such as Colombia, Argentina and Chile, but you can't win gold easily,” Linarez concluded of the experience,” Linares said after taking up the gold.
