The Ministry of Popular Power for Tourism (MINTUR) disseminated the rules of coexistence and protection for the Morrocoy National Park, in the state of Falcón, with the objective of guaranteeing the healthy enjoyment of seasonal workers and the strict conservation of the natural areas of the Falcon coast.
The regulations urge visitors to avoid the disposal of pollutants and recalls the absolute prohibition of extracting specimens of local flora and fauna, in addition to prioritizing the tranquility of the environment by controlling sound pollution, so the authorities established adequate sound levels to promote an environment of respect and family coexistence in all the cays.
Among other fundamental guidelines, the ministerial body recommends leaving pets at home, keeping swimming areas clear of jet skis and using only certified service providers to ensure a quality tourist experience.
In addition, the National Institute of Aquatic Spaces (INEA) and MINTUR defined sailing schedules that run from 6:00am to 6:00pm. Those interested in mobilizing boats must complete the registration through the “Zarpes — INEA” application and have the current permits before starting any journey.
The Minister of Tourism, Daniella Cabello, recently clarified that these provisions do not represent an extraordinary imposition on users. “The rules are not new, they are the same rules that are established in the regulations for the use of the park as well and that have always existed,” he explained, inviting tourists to respect the guidelines to ensure the long-term sustainability of the destination.
