Mayor Meléndez: The lifting of sanctions would be a benefit for all Venezuelans

The mayor
of the Liberador municipality, Carmen Meléndez, accompanied the march to demand the total
lifting of sanctions, from where she assured that the total
elimination of these measures is a benefit for all Venezuelans.
“Today our people say: If they eliminate
sanctions we are going to improve, we are going to build a homeland, we are going to improve everything
social, in our salary in everything and that is for all
Venezuelans without excluding anyone,” he said.
Meléndez specified that this is a people
of peace and that it remains united in the streets demanding the release of
President Nicolás Maduro and the first female fighter, Cilia Flores.
“Today more than ever we are all going to ask for the
removal of sanctions around the world, we are going to this march with a lot of love, with a
lot of energy and all united,” he added.
For his part, the head of the Capital District Government (GDC), Nahúm Fernández, indicated that “in the next stage of this diplomatic process, the People ask that the sanctions and the blockade be lifted; and that we assume a new Venezuelan history of a thriving and wealthy economy.”
