The president of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Nicolás Maduro, urged not to forget the victims killed by the guarimbas of 2014 and 2017 generated by the ultra-right.

“We cannot forget that, when intolerance prevailed, hatred, when they persecuted the people. Never more guarimbas and never more intolerance, never more violence!” , he pointed out during a mass meeting with the people of the state of Mérida.

He emphasized the courage of the heroic people of Merida, who have risen up despite the sanctions.

“Just as you never gave up, I have never given up, Mérida, we come from the lineage of those who never gave up, we have to improve the lives of the people, when the wounds of the economic war,” he emphasized.
