The neoliberal government of Javier Milei announced this Friday the dismissal of a total of 500 National Radio workers, including journalists, artists and other employees who had contracts until the end of 2023, according to the local press.
This cessation of office is framed in the Necessity and Urgency Decree (DNU), aimed at reducing the payroll size of public companies for subsequent privatization.

According to the local press, reported by the RT portal, the government is carrying out an audit to cut the overtime paid by many public employees and who, in some cases, exceed the basic salary.

These measures have been rejected by unions that announce mobilizations against anti-popular measures by the Argentine government, however, Milei himself issued a decree to criminalize protests, impose fines and sanctions on demonstrators.

The social organization Somos Barrios de Pie protested this Friday at noon for two hours in front of the Libertador Hotel, where President Javier Milei is staying, demanding a greater supply of food for community dining rooms.

The demonstrators arrived at the scene with signs and empty pots without cutting streets, although traffic on Córdoba Avenue was partially restricted due to the security operation.
