Minister Cabello: Every day we must ensure that the town of Merida and its visitors feel safe

The Minister of Popular Power for Internal Relations, Diosdado Cabello Rondón, stressed that the state of Mérida is one of the safest states in the country, stressing that the Peace Quadrants are only going to be further strengthened.

“Mérida is one of the safest states, but that should not make us rest on our laurels, no; it is a safe state, but we must guarantee every day that the people of Merida, the visitors... Mérida is a tourist state by nature, everyone who comes to Mérida feels protected, safe and cared for,” he said during the Adaptation of the Peace Quadrants in the entity.

He recalled that the Adaptation of the Peace Quadrants is carried out following the instructions of President Nicolas Maduro. At the same time, he specified that these bodies operate according to established regulations, since “they are being given a very important mission in the territory, because it is to guarantee peace in every corner”.

He also took the opportunity to highlight that the town of Mérida is one of the most affectionate and friendly. “It's the most affectionate, friendly state, of good people, of extraordinary people (...) the town of Merida is too good, very cordial,” he said.
