Minister Daniella Cabello promotes cultural tourism in Valencia during a tour (+Mural City)

The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, took a tour of Colombia Street in Valencia, Carabobo state, where Venezuelan and Colombian artists converted the walls into an open-air gallery as part of the 23rd edition of the International Muralism Festival “Ciudad Mural”.
Regarding the 471st anniversary of the city of Valencia, Minister Cabello observed the work done by artists, who seek to rescue local identity and turn urban art into a powerful engine for tourism and economic development in the region, according to a press release from the Ministry of Tourism.
Durante her visit, the Minister assured that this project not only embellishes facades, but also empowers communities, through creativity. “Mural City” is the rebirth of our history; these spaces invite communes to appropriate their heritage and show the creative face of a Venezuela that is consolidating itself as a reference for international muralism,” he said.
Cabello exchanged with local artists, toured training workshops in muralism and decolonial photography, and participated in recreational activities, including dance, traditional games and guided tours of the central part of Valencia.
La Minister, who was accompanied by Dina Castillo, mayor of Valencia and other authorities of the National Tourism Institute (INATUR) Carabobo, as part of the faith route, visited the Colegio Betania chapel, which houses the first-degree relic of Mother Santa Carmen Rendiles, San Francisco church, Sanctuary of José Gregorio Hernández and the Cathedral Basilica “Our Lady” del Socorro de Valencia”, where he noted the architectural value and the preparation of these spaces to receive parishioners, stressing the importance of preserving the nation's historical-religious heritage.
La head of national tourism called on citizens to meet again this Holy Week and take care of the country's recreational benefits and attractions. At the same time, it guaranteed full safety and protection to the Venezuelan family during these days of vacation.
