Minister Daniella Cabello: Sun and beach was the main destination for Venezuelans during Holy Week

The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, reported this Monday that the beach was the main destination chosen by the more than three million Venezuelans who mobilized during the holidays of Easter 2026.
During the evaluation of Operation Safe Holy Week 2026, led by the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez, from the Caracas community of La Silsa, Cabello pointed out that this mobilization “demonstrates and continues to reaffirm that the engine of economic development based on tourism is very strong.”
He highlighted that the great victory of this Major Week “was precisely the coordination between State entities and our private service providers, who have worked hand in hand to provide the best experience for visitors in each of the destinations”.
“Actually, Venezuelans tend to choose the sun and beach destination, but we cannot fail to mention in this Holy Week, which was also full of so much spirituality around the country, the top 10 religious destinations also where our Basilica of Saint Teresa of Caracas stands out,” he added.
