The Minister of Popular Power for Tourism, Daniella Cabello, stressed that Venezuela has recently participated in several summits in the tourism sector and the investment catalog is being formulated, which has grown progressively.

“With the guarantees offered to foreign investment in Venezuela, we have managed to attract investment for the tourism sector and we want that to continue to grow,” he said.

In this regard, he specified that these investments are not only about infrastructures that are part of VENETUR, “which is open to making both national and international alliances, but also private ones that have come closer”.

As an example, he mentioned the launch on Margarita Island of the “Venezuela Hot” event, which was an invitation to private tourism service providers, who are open to some negotiation (...) even those who would like to sell, to enter the investment catalog of the Ministry for Tourism, we have a wide agenda of participation in international fairs where we show this catalog”.

This was stated in the special program broadcast by Venezolana de Televisión, where he said that at these international fairs, “a call was made to foreign investment funds to come and learn about the reality of Venezuela firsthand.”

He also argued that given the economic diversification experienced in recent years in the country, “motor tourism enters this sector (...) Venezuela not only has the capacity but also many people with extensive training in the area.”
