The president in charge of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, Delcy Rodríguez, led a meeting this Friday with workers in the oil industry.

The event, held at the La Carlota Convention Center in Caracas, was also attended by the Minister of Popular Power for Hydrocarbons, Paula Henao, and the president of Petrleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA), Héctor Obregón.

During the meeting, the president in charge highlighted the work of oil workers and stated that the recently signed energy contracts “will mark Venezuela in its development” and will position it “in the international energy formula”.

“These have been difficult months of negotiations, but we never lost our horizon. Our horizon is the happiness of our people. Our horizon is that our workers, our workers have better salaries, that their families live better, that hospitals are equipped, that schools have quality education,” he confirmed.
