President (E) Rodríguez: Venezuela retains ownership and sovereignty over its resources

The president in charge Delcy Rodríguez highlighted the development advantages of the oil agreement signed with the United States Government, stressing that Venezuela will maintain ownership and sovereignty of its resources.

“There is one thing that must be absolutely clear: Venezuela retains ownership and sovereignty over its resources,” he emphasized while stressing that the agreement signed for a period of 25 years allows the country to use US financing, technology and operational capacity.

“This will serve to leverage the recovery of our hydrocarbon industry hit hard by sanctions,” he said.

In this regard, he affirmed that the recovery and expansion of oil production capacity in the country will be aimed at the development of the country and the well-being of all Venezuelans.

“The objective of developing it must be that this wealth is converted back into production, opportunity, well-being and future for our country,” he said.
