President Rodríguez asked CORPOELEC to be alert to the sabotage of extremism against the SEN

The president in charge of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, denounced that last Saturday, August 29, members of the extremist right, “made a blackout in the West (of the country), manipulated gas pressures to cause the Thermoelectric System to fall in the state of Zulia and affected the entire West.”

“Last night, thanks to the PDVSA-GAS team, we detected that the gas faucets are closed so that the gas systems fall and the Thermoelectric Power Plants fall and, therefore, the National Electricity System, which is so hit by sanctions, because of the growth in demand for electricity, caused by high temperatures, extremist mafias are also joining to sabotage.”

In this scenario, during the Meeting with Workers in the Oil Industry, the president in charge said that “I ask for the collaboration of all the workers in the country and I call on the workers of CORPOELEC to be alert”.

“We have to be alert because in a week of protesting what the signing of these oil agreements has meant, their protest is causing harm to the Venezuelan people,” he said.

In that regard, he specified that “we, all standing and alert to defend Venezuela, our people, as we have done. Oil workers are a badge and example of what victorious resistance is.”

“They're not going to be able to, we're not going to allow it, they're not going to be able to. We will continue on this path. Nothing is going to stop us because our horizon is very clear and it is called: the social and economic happiness of the people of Venezuela. In sovereign negotiations,” he stressed.
