The Minister of Popular Power for Productive Agriculture and Lands, Julio León, carried out an inspection of Central Venezuela, located in the Sucre municipality of the state of Zulia, accompanied by investors from Turkey and Venezuela.

This initiative responds to the guidelines of the Bolivarian Government to revitalize the agro-industrial sector and move towards food sovereignty. “We are taking a firm step in recovering our productive capacities, with the support of international allies that trust in Venezuela's agricultural potential,” he said.

The alliance contemplates the reactivation of three strategic sugar plants: the Santa Clara Power Plant in Yaracuy, the Ezequiel Zamora Agroindustrial Sugar Complex (CAAEZ) in Barinas and the Central Venezuela in the state of Zulia.

The investment has established, together with producers and farmers, the planting of 30,000 hectares of sugar cane cultivation.

This joint action is expected to generate direct and indirect jobs, boost regional economies and contribute significantly to the national supply of sugarcane products.

With this effort, the Bolivarian Government reaffirms its commitment to the sustainable development of the Venezuelan countryside, betting on a sovereign, inclusive and efficient production model.
