Minister Marco Torres promotes actions to strengthen the water system in Anzoátegui and Delta Amacuro

With the objective of agreeing on action plans to strengthen the water system in the states of Anzoátegui and Delta Amacuro, the Minister of the People's Power for Water Care, Rodolfo Marco Torres, held a working day with Governor Luis José Marcano and Governor Lizeta Hernández.

In a press release from the ministerial body, referring to the state of Anzoátegui, Marco Torres specified that the 1x10 System of Good Governance is 86.31 percent effective in dealing with cases, totaling seven thousand 564 in total, of which six thousand 347 reports have been answered.

In this regard, actions were evaluated to specify operational improvements that will allow progress in the execution of projects in an articulated manner between the national government and the government of Anzoátegui.

These actions include the installation of a new motor and pump at the Curaguaro pumping station in Puerto La Cruz; the installation of an additional pipe section in the El Yai drinking water distribution system and the rehabilitation of the Santa Clara water treatment plant. In addition, all deep water wells in the entity will be reactivated.

On the other hand, regarding the plans and projects developed in conjunction with Governor Hernández, Minister Marco Torres stressed that “in 2024 we have good news for the Delta, we are working on all the pipes, the water treatment plant, the whole issue of water treatment, the desalination plant, which is a very special project.”
