The Minister of Popular Power for University Education, Ricardo Sánchez, reported that the National Consultation for Academic Quality will last 20 weeks.
This was stated in an interview conducted by Venezolana de Televisión (VTV) in which he added that this measure was taken to facilitate the participation of more than 1,780,000 students together with 96,000 teachers and 200,000 workers.
The senior official added that the second phase of the process is already being territorialized through the installation of discussion and execution teams. This phase will last until July 16 to report the preliminary findings to the president in charge Delcy Rodríguez.
In addition to incorporating sectors such as the State and industry, the minister indicated that this consultation projects the integration of communes into the university environment. On the other hand, Sánchez recalled that Venezuela has one of the most robust higher education systems in the region with a total of 175 active institutions.
