Ministry of Health serves 1,200 students in Nueva Esparta

Around 1200 children and adolescents were treated during a day of the Health Goes to School program developed by the Bolivarian Government, through the Ministry of Popular Power for Health, in the state of Nueva Esparta. The beneficiaries are part of the Víctor Cedeño and José Augusto D' León educational units, located in Los Robles, Aguirre parish in the Maneiro municipality.

Specialists from the ministerial portfolio were deployed at both institutions to provide health care to students. The boys, girls and adolescents were treated in general medicine, ophthalmology, dentistry, pediatrics, nutrition, vaccination, delivery of medications and vitamins according to their diagnoses and in the case of chronic diseases with recurrent symptoms.

In the same vein, high school students participated in an informative talk about changes in adolescence and sexuality.
