Ministry of Transport performs maintenance on Metro de Los Teques

The C.A. Metro Los Teques successfully completed a day of replacing rails in the Corral de Piedra tunnel, located on the stretch between Ayacucho and Las Adjuntas stations.

The day was carried out by a multidisciplinary team made up of 26 specialists who replaced 35.40 meters of bearing bars that had completed their useful life cycle, details a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Transport.

To ensure the integrity and continuity of the track, advanced aluminothermic welding techniques were used, ensuring a smoother movement of Metropolis trains.

Simultaneously, a comprehensive technical inspection of electrical joints and connections was developed. These maneuvers made it possible to verify the optimal functioning of the systems that power both the traction and the signalling of the trains, vital components for operational safety.
