The Anonymous Metro de Caracas Company permanently executes a preventive maintenance schedule in its commercial and operational areas to ensure the operation of the system and the continuity of the service.

This is detailed in a press release from the Ministry of People's Power for Transportation stating that in the courtyards and workshops of Propatria and Las Adjuntas, the technical staff consolidated the comprehensive recovery of 50 trains operating on the five lines of the underground system.

It details the information that, through the development of reverse engineering, the specialists developed and approved hundreds of parts for the French and Spanish technology fleet, complying with the required safety standards. This same principle applies to the railroad, where progress is being made in the modernization of rails, track changers and signalling devices.

In the area of electromechanical equipment, the institution is gradually recovering escalators, elevators and mobility ramps to facilitate the daily movement of passengers, prioritizing accessibility for older adults, pregnant women and people with disabilities.

For its part, the MetroBus surface transportation system strengthened its routes in the five municipalities of Caracas thanks to the preventive maintenance of engines, transmissions and axles carried out in the workshops of La Paz and Petare. These tasks make it possible to increase the fleet of units in circulation to expand coverage in areas where the underground does not reach.

In addition, qualified technicians perform preventive tasks on the MetroCable and CableTrén systems in San Agustín, Mariche and Petare. The continuous training of technical personnel has made it possible to maintain the operability and safe passage of cabs and cable-driven trains.
