This Thursday, June 25, fire officials from the Miranda state firefighters traveled to La Guaira to collaborate with rescue efforts in the coastal entity following the damage caused by the earthquakes that occurred in the country.

This was announced by General (B) Laura Gerardo, who indicated that the Mirandino uniformed personnel will complement the work together with other security and protection forces with the firm purpose of rescuing victims and carrying out all their respective tasks in the affected areas.

The official also called for calm to the entire population, urging citizens to keep their sanity and collaborate with the instructions of the authorities on the ground.

The deployment of the fire department is carried out following the guidelines of the President (E) of the Republic, Delcy Rodríguez, who declared the state of La Guaira a disaster zone; an institutional decision that was due to the fact that the coastal entity constitutes the state most affected by the unprecedented seismic phenomenon.
