Misión Milagro treats more than 1,700 patients in Portuguesa during the pre-operative day for cataracts

More than 1,700 patients with cataracts are being treated by the Miracle Mission during a pre-operative evaluation day that began this Sunday in the Portuguese state and will take place throughout the week.

As reported by the Venezuelan News Agency (AVN), clinical evaluations and visual tests are carried out at the Official Residence of Governors, in Guanare, which “this week has become an iconic place for health,” said Governor Primitivo Cedeño.

The regional president accompanied this Tuesday the third day of the day, whose results will make it possible to schedule operations and respond to patients captured through a census activated by the Government, through the One Surgery for All program.

He indicated that this Tuesday they are being treated in patient offices in the municipalities of Ospino and Turén, after the preoperative clinical evaluation of 418 patients from San Genaro de Boconoíto, Guanarito, Papelón, Sucre, Unda and Guanare was completed between Sunday and Monday.

Cedeño highlighted the joint work of the Miracle Mission and the regional One Surgery for All program to recruit and operate on patients with eye diseases, this time with a deployment that focuses exclusively on the diagnosis of cataracts for subsequent surgical resolution.
