The Ministry of Popular Power for Public Works (MOP) reported the extraction of 15,000 cubic meters of sediment in the Guaire River, specifically in the Baloa sector of the Sucre municipality, as part of the actions planned in the 2026 Rain Plan.
The institution noted that the equipment continues to operate with dredging, channeling and cleaning the riverbed, so these interventions strengthen the river's flow capacity and reduce risks for communities located in the Petare area.
The Ministry explained that the technical deployment incorporates the use of heavy machinery consisting of four excavators, five trucks and a front loader, through which the operational plan aimed at preventing contingencies in vulnerable areas of Miranda state is executed.
