From the temporary camp installed at the Alberto Ravel School in Carlos Soublette parish, the governor of La Guaira, Alejandro Terán, assured that more than 157,000 medical services have been provided in the entity since last June 24.

In this regard, he specified that there are currently 82 Venezuelan civilian and military doctors who provide 24-hour primary care services in temporary camps.

Terán, pointed out that six hospitals, a popular clinic, seven specialized outpatient clinics and 19 field hospitals are still active in the entity; at the same time he recognized “all these health personnel who, since the beginning of this terrible tragedy, have put their breasts to guarantee the care of our people in the state.”

He also highlighted international solidarity, especially that of health professionals.

“This is not a camp, but a temporary home, where each of the classrooms of this institution has been adapted as rooms to welcome with love all the families of Mare Abajo who were affected (...) All the camps have accommodation service, quality food, a nutritionist, and the entire General Staff; guaranteeing sufficient and quality food,” he added.
