A total of 43 containers containing basic food were safely disembarked from the cabotage vessel “Manuel Gual”, at the facilities of Puerto El Guamache on the South Coast of Margarita Island, in the state of Nuevas Esparta.

This work is part of the ongoing activities promoted by the Bolivarian Port Company (BOLIPUERTOS S.A.), demonstrating that the operational capacity of the port terminal remains intact and fully active to serve the people of the island region.

For its part, the ship Arica carried two thousand tons of supplies; both shipments represent essential items for the revival of regional trade and industry, said Marisel Velasquez, governor of New Spain on her Instagram account.

The essential supplies unloaded at the pier are destined directly to communities, ensuring a constant and timely supply in homes in the state of Nueva Esparta.

“This achievement is the result of the continuous effort of BOLIPORTS, in line with the guidelines of the economic and commercial policies promoted by the president in charge, Delcy Rodríguez, with which the port reaffirms its operational efficiency as a key pillar in the development of the island entity,” he said.
