More than 40 species from seas, rivers and lakes are distributed throughout the country this weekend through Venezuela's national day for more fish.
In Caracas, from the Plaza de Los Próceres Civiles located on Avenida Bolívar, the day offers significant savings for all people who come to buy their proteins at reasonable and affordable prices.
According to the national coordinator of the fishing and agriculture network of the Somos Venezuela Movement, Wilman Espinosa, the price compared to a traditional private fish market corresponds to a 50% difference.
He confirmed that fish production and its sale have risen by more than 70% throughout the country, thanks to the policies of the Bolivarian Government, which has provided support, delivery of supplies, engines and fishing gear, to workers in the sea, rivers and lakes, resulting in more production, more fish for the entire Venezuelan people.
“We have been here since yesterday and tomorrow, Sunday, we deliver to all the parishes of Caracas, from there they can count on their fresh fish and where we call on them to enjoy a good price and a good product from rivers and lakes,” he told the cameras of Venezolana de Televisión (VTV).
