MP appointed a commission of prosecutors to investigate events that occurred at the Yare III detention center

The Public Ministry (MP) announced the start of an investigation following the events that occurred this Monday, April 20, at the Yare III Penitentiary Center, located in Miranda state.

According to information published on social networks, an irregular event occurred at the venue this Monday, which led to the suspension of visits.

Faced with the situation, the institution that guarantees the criminal action appointed a commission of prosecutors attached to the Directorate for the Protection of Human Rights “to clarify what happened and guarantee the rights of the population deprived of their liberty”.
